Honoring the Bright and Beautiful Life of Jackson Daniel Mueller
It is with profound sadness and shattered hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jackson Daniel Mueller on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the tender age of 15. A lifelong resident of Brick, New Jersey, Jackson brought an immeasurable amount of light, laughter, and brilliant promise into the world from the very moment he was born at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Jackson was just weeks away from completing his freshman year at Brick Memorial High School, where he lived life at full throttle. A young man of extraordinary intellect and ambition, he was an honors student who excelled within Brick Memorial’s STEM Academy. His exceptional academic talents had recently earned him acceptance into the prestigious MATES (Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science) program, where he was excited to begin classes this coming September. Jackson possessed a clear vision for his future; he aspired to be an engineer and was deliberately taking every necessary step to turn his dreams into reality.
His leadership and dedication were evident early on. During his formative years at Veterans Memorial Middle School (VMMS), Jackson proudly served as an Officer of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and as the Treasurer for the Student Council. Outside of the classroom, Jackson was an athlete with a diverse array of talents. He ran track for Brick Memorial, earned his coveted black belt from Brick PPK (Parkour, Pushing Past Limits), and spent weekends hitting the turf playing flag football for the SJNFL Flag league.
Yet, for all his remarkable achievements, Jackson will be remembered most for the immense size of his heart. He was a fantastic son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. Highly intelligent, creative, and artistic, Jackson was equally celebrated for being silly, deeply affectionate, and just an incredibly “chill” kid. He found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life: playing video games into the late hours with his friends, mountain biking through trails with his dad, going on family vacations, traveling on cruises, eating out at his favorite restaurants, and mixing up giant pitchers of homemade lemonade. He was also a voracious reader and a deeply talented sketch artist.
At home, Jackson was the emotional anchor for his siblings. He was a fierce protector and a deeply compassionate caregiver to his disabled brother, Cameron. He shared his profound love for reading and his artistic gifts with his sister, Olivia, who adored and admired him with her whole heart. Jackson also loved nothing more than playing, laughing, roughhousing, and engaging in intense, strategic chess matches with his youngest brother, Grayson, and his grandfather.
Jackson’s love for his family was entirely unreserved. He possessed a beautiful, rare confidence that allowed him to pause, wrap his arms around his parents and grandparents, and openly tell them he loved them—whether they were at home or standing right in front of his friends.
He was greeted in heaven by his beloved paternal grandfather, Lee Mueller, who preceded him in death.
Jackson’s legacy of love and brilliant energy will be forever carried on by his devoted parents, Daniel and Kimberly Mueller; his three adored siblings, Olivia (13), Cameron (13), and Grayson (9); his loving maternal grandparents, Frances and Chester Jaremczak; and his paternal grandmother, Fran Mueller. He also leaves behind his proud Godfather and uncle, Bryan Jaremczak (along with Sherry Niebergall); his loving Godmother and aunt, Tiffany Karoly (along with Bobby Karoly); his aunt, Jennifer Stewart (and her late husband, Clayton); his dear cousins, Charlotte, Christopher, and Aurora; as well as a vast network of extended family members, classmates, teammates, and countless friends who loved Jackson more than words can express.
