Marilyn Petrie of Price, Utah, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at Pinnacle Nursing Home at the age of 69.
Her passing leaves a deep emptiness for the family and friends who knew her best, but also a lifetime of memories shaped by her kindness, personality, and deep love for the people closest to her.
Marilyn was born on November 3, 1956, at Price City County Hospital to Ella Vione Pilling and Lynn Rayford Pilling. She spent much of her life in the Price area and remained closely connected to both her family and the simple things that brought her happiness.
Those who knew Marilyn often remember her warmth first. She had a caring nature, a strong personality, and a quiet appreciation for beauty in everyday life. Art and nature brought her genuine joy, and she found comfort in peaceful moments, creativity, and time spent with family.
More than anything, Marilyn loved being surrounded by the people she cared about. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were a constant source of pride and happiness in her life. Whether through conversations, family gatherings, or everyday moments together, she created memories that will continue to stay with them for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Vione Pilling and Lynn Rayford Pilling, as well as her brothers Monte Pilling and Gary Pilling.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Linda Thomas; her daughters, Jackilyn (Eric) Zserai and Jonelle (Denny) Erickson; and her son, Riley Jaworsky. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren — Dacoda Zserai, Samantha Zserai, Mackenzie Zserai, Brianne Farnsworth, Dawsen Tweddell, Baelie Erickson, John Erickson, Donte Erickson, and Tegan Erickson — along with ten great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Her family and friends will remember Marilyn not only for her kindness, but for the way she made people feel welcomed, loved, and remembered. The memories she created through simple moments, conversations, and time together will continue to live on through the people who knew her best.
