As a child, Gary enjoyed spending time outdoors, helping his father with home projects, fishing with friends, and participating in school sports. He was known for his dependable personality and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Gary graduated from Austin High School in 1973 before continuing his education in mechanical technology and industrial operations. He later built a respected career in manufacturing and maintenance management, working for several companies throughout southeastern Minnesota over the span of more than four decades.

Funeral Details
A celebration of life service honoring Gary Lee Rogness will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minnesota. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
