Honoring the Life and Legacy of Barbara A. McCracken

Barbara A. (Blick) McCracken, 66, of Greer, South Carolina, and formerly of St. Benedict, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of her loving family at St. Benedict Manor.

Barbara came into the world on August 11, 1959, in Colver, Pennsylvania, the beautiful daughter of the late Donald and Barbara Ann (Rayba) Blick. She grew up in a vibrant, bustling home that taught her the values of family devotion, deep faith, and an active spirit—traits that would beautifully define the rest of her life. She eventually met the love of her life, Randall L. McCracken, and together they shared 44 beautiful years of marriage, building a life centered on deep partnership, mutual support, and family.

Professionally, Barbara was a dedicated Certified Dental Assistant. Over her long and successful career, she lent her bright smile, gentle touch, and reassuring presence to several dental offices. She had a rare gift for easing patients’ anxieties, transforming routine medical visits into comforting experiences with her signature kindness.

When they relocated to South Carolina, Barbara poured her heart into her new community. Alongside her husband, Randall, she became a foundational pillar of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Greenville. Guided by her deep faith and love for children, she spent countless hours volunteering in the Children’s Nursery and leading vibrant Bible study classes. Her infectious energy extended into local youth sports, where she was a tireless cheerleader, organizer, and mentor for local kids.

Those who knew Barbara knew she was an engine of perpetual motion. As a long-standing and active member of the YMCA, she took immense pride in cultivating an exceptionally healthy, athletic lifestyle. She was an avid runner who found true joy in testing her limits, frequently crossing the finish lines of local 5Ks, 10Ks, and grueling half marathons.

Barbara’s fierce love and bright energy live on through her survivors. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Randall L. McCracken; her beloved son, Cameron McCracken, and his wife, Lauren, of South Carolina; and her extensive, closely knit circle of siblings: Patty Fish of Rhode Island; Beverly Meekins of York, PA; Sandra Raniella of St. Benedict; Linda Blick-Dixon of Indiana, PA; Darlene Pedersen of Maryland; Yolanda Mertens of Virginia; Donna Rieger of Northern Cambria; Donald J. Blick of St. Benedict; and Kimberly Livingston of Loretto. She is also survived by a vast and cherished legacy of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

In faith, Barbara has been reunited with those who preceded her in death: her parents, Donald and Barbara Ann Blick; her beloved brother, David Blick; and her dear sister-in-law, Diane (Jones) Blick.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at the Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1303 Bigler Avenue, Northern Cambria, PA. The Reverend Marty Cartmell will officiate.

Following the chapel service, Barbara will be laid to rest at East Ridge Cemetery. To honor her lifelong dedication to fitness, faith, and children, the family suggests making a memorial contribution to your local youth sports association, the YMCA, or Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Online condolences, shared memories, and digital tributes may be lovingly left on Barbara’s official memorial page at the funeral home’s website.
