Vanda DaCorte Morris Obituary May 6, 2026 – Booneville, MS
Vanda DaCorte Morris lived a life of faith, servanthood, loving all unconditionally, volunteering without hesitation and so much more. She left a unique & amazing legacy between July 23, 1943 – May 6, 2026.
Vanda was born in Valle di Cadore, Italy, moving to the United States of America November 28, 1968. She became a proud, patriotic citizen of the U.S.A. in 1974. Vanda is survived by her daughter, Tammy Morris Cannon, & grandson, Levi Alexander Cannon. She was predeceased by her brother Ezio DaCorte & wife Beppina, O.E. “Buck” & Margaret Sweezy Morris, Vicki Morris Knox, Nancy Morris Baker & Derrill Morris.
Per Vanda’s request, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Please donate to your church, local or foreign missions or a non-profit group in her memory as this was a large part of her ministry.
Mom asked me to write her obituary & I’ll always do my best to honor her wishes and her memory. Vanda didn’t “beat behind the bush” about anything, never at a loss for words & always a great sense of humor (never a dull moment!). She overcame many challenges in her life that never dampened her spirit or zest for life. “This is it” was often said, meaning something was complete. Mom whispered that one last time, a few hours before standing in the presence of her Lord and Savior…
