It is with a heavy heart that we announce the heartbreaking loss of Treyhon McCurdy, a 20-year-old young man from Chicago, Illinois. Treyhon was tragically killed in a shooting in the West Pullman neighborhood on April 26, 2026. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and community completely devastated.
Treyhon was a bright, full-of-life young man who had just celebrated his 20th birthday. He was excited about his new car and looking forward to the future. Those who knew him say he had a warm personality, a great smile, and always brought positive energy wherever he went. He was a loving son, brother, and friend who cared deeply about his family.
In his final moments, Treyhon was on the phone with his mom, Alicia Warford. His last words to her — “Ma! Ma! They shooting at me!” followed by “I love you” — have left his family shattered but holding tightly to that last expression of love.
Treyhon’s death has touched many hearts across Chicago and raised serious concerns about safety in our neighborhoods. Friends, neighbors, and the community have come together to share memories and support his family during this incredibly difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his mother Alicia Warford, his entire family, and all who loved him. May you feel surrounded by love and support as you grieve and remember the good times with Treyhon.
Rest in peace, Treyhon. You will always be remembered and deeply missed. 🕊️
