Russell S. Condon Jr, 90, a lifelong resident of Lynn, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 15, 1936, he was the son of the late Russell S. Condon Sr. and Eleanor (Dearborn) Condon.
Russell was a dedicated and hardworking man, spending nearly 40 years as an assembler at General Electric. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he built along the way. Outside of his career, he was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and found joy in simple pleasures such as yard work, football, and time spent outdoors.
More than anything, Russell cherished his family. He adored his grandchildren, lovingly known as the “Fab 5,” and his great-grandchildren, affectionately called the “A team.” Whether gathered for holidays, cheering from the sidelines, or simply sharing a quiet moment, his happiest times were those spent surrounded by the people he loved most.
Russell will be dearly missed and is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years,Margaret (Dowling) Condon; his loving children, Kelly Condon, Jean (Condon) Spaulding and her husband Mark, Trudy Condon, and Brian Condon and his wife Colleen; his cherished grandchildren, Brenna(Condon) Lundrigan and her husband Joshua, Elizabeth Spaulding, Bailey Spaulding, Emma Condon, and Maddie Condon; and his great-granddaughters, Aubrey, Aliyah, and Autumn Lundrigan.His sister-in-law, Carol Dowling, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Robert Condon and his wife Betty Condon, and Jean Powers and her husband Richard Powers Sr., as well as his in-laws, Michael Dowling, and Paul Dowling.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm at Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn. A funeral service will take place at 12 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
