Nicole L. “Niki” Molleur Obituary

Nicole L . (Dufour) Molleur, 70 of South Windsor, CT, loving wife of 48 years and best friend of Donald A. Molleur, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family on May 7, 2026. Niki was born on April 3, 1956, in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bertrand and Madeleine (Clavet) Dufour.

She was raised in Hartford and was a graduate of Hartford Public High School. Niki earned an associate degree from Greater Hartford Community College. Prior to her retirement in 2015, she was employed as a paralegal with Aetna Inc., ING, and Voya.

Niki was a voracious reader and could be found on summer days sitting beside Donald on their boat or on the beach with a book in her hands. Her reading served her well as she was a patient wife, mother, and Memere to avid outdoorsmen. Working as a great team with Donald, Niki enjoyed tending two gardens, at home and a local community plot, and they canned and preserved the yield to savor throughout the year. She was a generous hostess, hosting big family gatherings and cooking for a crowd. She was an excellent cook and equally excellent baker, making delicious hearty meals completed with a satisfying dessert –pies, cookies or a cake for special occasions, from scratch of course. She enjoyed cross-stitching and her home and the homes of her family members are adorned with her work.

In addition to her loving husband, Donald, she leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Eric Molleur and his wife, Allison of Ellington and Daniel Molleur and his partner, Alexis Engelke of Coventry; beloved grandchildren Noah and Isabelle; her sisters Odette Michaud (Mario), Denise Stachura (Stitch), Gabrielle Fusco (Mike), Carlene Landry (Steve), Ceal Sweeney, Diane Molleur, and Brenda Salvador (Russ). Niki also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, their families and many wonderful friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by Donald’s parents, Albert and Emily Molleur, her brother-in-law Robert Sweeney, and her nephew Brandon Langan.

All are welcome to join her family for calling hours at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester CT on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Marlboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter at www.alz.org. To leave a condolence, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com.
