She would later move to Lincoln, where she met the love of her life, Joshua (Josh) Hurst. Nikki and Josh married on July 28, 2007. Together they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and their three daughters, Adelynn, Kinley, and Emery, who were the pride and joy of her life. She treasured the friendships she built over the years, and wherever she went, there was always laughter,

fun, and unforgettable memories being made. Her contagious laugh and bright personality made every gathering even more special.

Nikki began her career at Cedars Youth Services in 1999, where caring for infants quickly became her true passion. With her gentle touch, nurturing heart, and loving nature, she helped comfort and support generations of little ones throughout the years.

She is survived by her husband, Joshua Hurst; her daughters, Adelynn, Kinley, and Emery; her parents, Dwight and Sharon Wander; her brother, Jeremy Wander; her mother-in-law, Carol Hurst and her significant other, Bernie Parker; her sister-in-law Lisa Pfeifer (Dustin) and nieces Ava and Isabelle; Amy Wander and nephews Owen,
