Nancy Suhie Obituary | April 30, 2026

Nancy M. Suhie, 81, of Hebron, formerly of Manchester, affectionately known as “Ninny” by her family and close friends, peacefully passed away, with her family at her side, on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Nancy was born on November 9, 1944, in Manchester, one of two beloved children of the late Michael and Mary Suhie. She was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1962. Nancy was employed as manager of Worker’s Compensation for over twenty years at Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Nancy enjoyed knitting and was very gifted at creating beautiful, knitted hats, sweaters and blankets that were often given as gifts to family and friends. She was an avid sports enthusiast and was a huge Patriots, Red Sox and UConn Women’s & Men’s Basketball fan. Ninny’s greatest joy was her niece, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews. She would always attend their dance recitals, sporting events and was so very proud of their school accomplishments. Ninny was also known for starting all kinds of shenanigans with the kids, that was the highlight of their wonderful times together. Ninny leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Richard “Dick” Suhie and his wife, Kendelle of Manchester, her nephew, Michael Suhie of Bolton, and her niece, Karen Macmillan and her husband, Gordon of Hebron. Her four cherished grandnieces & grandnephews: Rachael Suhie, Andrew Suhie, Hanna Macmillan and her fiancé, Kevin Petterson and Sam Macmillan as well as her longtime very dear friend, Mary McNamara. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Jeanne Suhie, along with several aunts, uncles & cousins. At Nancy’s request, all funeral services and burial in East Cemetery in Manchester are private.
