Mark A. Boarini Obituary (1953–2026)

Obituary

Mark A. Boarini was born on July 16, 1953, to the loving family of Jack and Nancy Boarini. Throughout his life, Mark remained deeply devoted to his family, his work, and the simple joys that brought people together. He will be dearly missed by his seven siblings, his beloved wife Kathy, their seven children, and his cherished grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as “Papa.”

Mark was a quiet and thoughtful man whose life reflected dedication, curiosity, and kindness. He believed in hard work, lifelong learning, and caring for those around him. As a dentist, he proudly served his community alongside his father and brother, offering compassionate care to generations of families.

Outside of his work, Mark found peace and joy in the natural world. Fishing was more than a hobby to him—it was a lifelong passion. He loved to fish, read about fishing, talk about fishing, and most of all, teach others the skills and patience the sport required. Many will remember the calm happiness he found near the water and the enthusiasm he shared with anyone willing to listen.

Mark also expressed his love through cooking. His kitchen was always filled with gadgets, recipes, and experimentation inspired by cuisines from around the world. He approached cooking as both an art and an act of care, and those fortunate enough to share a meal with him could taste the love and generosity he poured into every dish.

Above all else, Mark treasured his family. As his family grew, so did the joy he found in being called “Papa,” a role he embraced wholeheartedly and with great pride.

Mark’s quiet strength, steady presence, and loving heart will remain with all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, knowledge shared freely, meals made with love, and memories that will continue to comfort his family and friends for years to come.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; their children, Resa (Jeff) Pittman, Kristen (Steve) Dew, Vinnie (Lyndsie DeCologeo) Boarini, Kevin (Amy) Dziubinksi, Joey (Natalie Farell) Boarini, Julia (Dustin) Boarini-Klubertanz, Katie (Seth Seybert) Boarini; their twelve grandchildren, Brook, Norah, Laney, Amani, Graham, Quinn, Eloise, Norman, Ramona, Waylon, Reese, and one on the way; his siblings, David (Michelle) Boarini, Katy (the late Ernie) Boggs, Chris Boarini, Paul (Mila) Boarini, Karen Staten, Daniel Boarini, Matt (Barb) Boarini; and many other extended family and friends.
