Kermit O. Fitzgerald, 61, of Norristown, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to those closest to him.
Kermit was a loving husband and best friend to his beloved wife, Michelle (Leddy) Fitzgerald. Born July 26, 1964, to the late Ron Partridge and Cecilia Fitzgerald.
For twenty-one years, Kermit honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He took great pride in his role as an electronics technician. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially playing Scrabble, Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), poker, and other games that brought laughter and connection with those around him. He enjoyed spending his days tending to his garden, bringing people together over backyard barbecues, and filling the home with the warmth of his baking. Kermit always found a way to create comfort, togetherness, and joy. He had a deep love for the outdoors spending time in the Poconos and exploring the beauty of nature. He loved the traditions he created with family and friends that brought happiness to those around him.
Above all, Kermit found his greatest delight in his family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his son, Kyle, treasuring the Friday night D&D games, watching movies, and the moments they shared together. To know Kermit was to love him, as he showed unwavering support and genuine care for all those around him. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Kyle Fitzgerald; his brothers, Ron, Joseph, Michael, and Patrick; his sisters, Theresa, and Christina; and many nieces and nephews.
