Keith Stewart II Obituary
Keith Allen Stewart II, 29, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed tragically early this May. Keith was born September 17, 1996 in Oklahoma to Keith and Shawna Stewart. Keith was the kind of man who kept to himself, but once you were close with him he would do anything to help you.
Keith was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran whose loyalty and commitment to his peers shaped the way he lived his life and cared for those around him. He was dedicated to his work, even when it pissed him off. Thankfully, he made many close bonds with his fellow Marines.
With a deep passion for cars and motorcycles, Keith could often be found working on, talking about, or admiring vehicles he loved. He was usually tinkering under a hood with a beefy five layer burrito from Taco Bell and a Monster energy drink nearby. His enthusiasm was more than a hobby. It turned into a career at Goodchild Towing and Automotive where colleagues became family. Anyone who knew Keith remembers the excitement he felt after purchasing his 1990 Mazda Miata or his first electric bike. His love of cars was how he connected and expressed himself with others. Friends and family will remember the knowledge and joy he brought to every conversation about his next projects.
Above all else, Keith loved his children. They were the center of his world and reason for his perseverance. He would spend hours on the phone with his son Haydon. When Rai and AJ were born, Keith cared for them at home. Later, his free time was dedicated to making them laugh when he returned to work. They were his sense of pride and purpose.
Keith will be remembered for his unconventional humor, resilience, and the love he showed for those closest to him as much as he loved mustard. His memory lives on in his wife, Alayna and his children, Haydon, Wraith, and Arkham.
He is also survived by his parents, Keith and Shawna Stewart; siblings, Dawn and James; in-laws, Kevin, Jen and Audrey Lamb; his brother from another mother, Hunter Taylor; and many other family members and close friends.
Though his time was far too short, the impact on those around him will never be forgotten. He is deeply missed and forever loved.
Interment will be private.
A Celebration of Life will be held at home on May 23 in Wilmington, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations and/or volunteer time in Keith’s memory to Miles for Military, a charity bringing the most junior service members home for moments that matter. Donations may be made online at https://www.milesformilitary.org or mailed to Miles for Military, 101 Huntington Avenue, 21st Floor, Boston, MA 02199.
