Acampo, CA – Judith Ann Gamache Orsetti passed away peacefully at her home in Acampo, CA on April 20, 2026, following a brief illness with pancreatic cancer. She was 82 years old.
Judy was born on November 13, 1943, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was raised on the Fort Road in Toppenish, where she spent a joyful childhood playing in the family hop fields with her siblings and cousins around the Sunshine Ranch.
She attended St. Joseph Grade School, St. Joseph Academy, and later Gonzaga University.
In 1962, Judy married the love of her life, Steve Orsetti. Together they built a life centered on family and farming for many years in Tracy, CA.
In addition to her work on the farm, Judy proudly served her country through a long and distinguished career with the Defense Logistics Agency at the San Joaquin Distribution Center in Tracy.
Judy will be remembered for her universally cheerful spirit, kind heart, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. She was deeply loved by family, friends, and all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Steve; her daughter, Kathy McLeod of Acampo; her sisters, Susan Gamache (Greg) of Spokane, Lynne Hazel (David) of Yakima, and Gayle McLernon (Brian) of Portland; her brother, Mark Gamache (Janet) of South Bend, IN; her sister-in-law, Kay Gamache of Meridian, ID; her grandchildren, Stephen McLeod and Taylor Perriera; and her great-granddaughter, Makenzie Perriera as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
