Doris “Debbie” Kaynor, 99, of Springfield, MA, Tolland and West Hartford, CT, and Greensboro, NC, and wife of the late Kenneth W. Kaynor, died peacefully at Friends Homes in Greensboro, NC on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken (2008) and her youngest son, Peter John (2022).
She is survived by her sons, The Rev. Robert Kirk (Sue Montague Kaynor) of Durham, NC, and Mark Davis (Julie Gill Kaynor) of Radford and Blacksburg, VA, and by Peter John’s widow, Sandra June Lane Kaynor of Peru, ME.
Friends are invited to join the family at the Peace United Church of Christ in Greensboro, NC, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 9th, for her memorial service (live-stream available). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace United Church of Christ, 2714 West Market St., Greensboro, NC 27403; to the Flagg Road United Church of Christ Music Fund, 134 Flagg Rd., West Hartford, CT 06117; or to a charity of the donor’s choosing. Interment of her ashes will take place in New England at a date and time to be announced later.
