It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Delores Mae “Toots” Thompson, who was born on September 14, 1933, and passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 92 in Woodville.
Toots lived a long, vibrant life and was known for her big personality, warm heart, and the special way she made everyone around her feel loved. She was the kind of person whose presence could light up a room — quick with a smile, a laugh, or a kind word. Her nickname “Toots” suited her perfectly, reflecting the spirited and beloved woman she was to her family and friends.
A longtime resident of Woodville, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family was everything to Toots, and she poured her love into every generation. Her home was often filled with laughter, good food, and the comfort of being together.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.
