Charles Bonheur Obituary
Charles A. (Chuck) Bonheur, age 89, passed away on April 24, 2026 at Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn, who was at his bedside when he passed, and his two sons, Greg and Eric. He is so missed by his family, including their two dogs.
After serving in the Army, Chuck had a long career at the Metropolitan Opera where he served in many capacities and made lifelong friends too numerous to count. He retired in 2000 and liked spending time outdoors taking care of his yard, tinkering around the house, and listening to his favorite operas. Chuck will always be remembered as a loyal, kind and generous person who made others feel welcomed and valued. Although he was an avid traveler, he enjoyed the simple things in life and his greatest joy was found at home, spending time with his family.
Though Chuck is no longer with us, the love and friendship he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
