Carol Howell Obituary December 20, 2025
Carol Ann Howell, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away December 20, 2025, at Elsa Assisted Living. The graveside service will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery in Manson on May 23rd, 2026, at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will take place at Ride’s Bar & Grill following the service at 1:00 PM.
Carol Ann Law was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on February 3rd, 1944, the daughter of George and Pauline Law. She was raised on a farm near Clare and remained a farm girl at heart her entire life. Her steadfast Catholic faith and Midwest values helped her endure every obstacle she came across. Carol loved the outdoors and had quite the green thumb.
Carol married Dennis Carlson, and they had three children: Kevin, Christine, and Daniel. The couple later divorced. On January 10th, 1975, she married Robert Howell, forming a large blended family that included his children—Tina, Jeff, Jack, Robert, Gregory, Brent, Shanna, Frank, and Bart—and grandchildren Shelly, Thomas, and William Lowe. One year after marriage, Carol and Bob gave birth to a daughter, Angela.
Carol dedicated her life to raising a large extended family. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and a hot meal. Carol and Bob were always surrounded by friends and family. Carol loved to cook and worked at Black Knight. She and Bob started their journey in Iowa and moved to Arizona for the remainder of their lives. Carol pursued her education further in Arizona and became a nail technician. She will always be remembered for being kindhearted and leading with a smile.
Carol is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Pauline Law; sisters, Pat Pohl and Georgina Hock; Husband Robert; and children Angela, Gregory, Jeff, and Tina.
