Adrianne Lynn “Annie” Hallauer, 17, of Bedford, Virginia, passed away tragically on May 14, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on September 19, 2008, in Bedford, Virginia, to David Andrew Hallauer and Lisa Smith Hallauer.
Annie will be remembered as a bright, creative, and outgoing young woman whose energy and personality brought joy to everyone around her. She had a natural warmth that made her easy to love, and she built strong connections with both family and friends throughout her life.
From a young age, Annie enjoyed staying active and creative. She loved playing soccer, often coached by her father, which became a special bond they shared. She also had a strong artistic side, spending time drawing, painting, and expressing herself creatively. In her free time, she enjoyed trips to the beach, playing video games such as SIMS and Call of Duty, and spending time on social media with friends.
Annie also enjoyed self-expression through fashion and beauty. She loved doing her makeup, getting her nails done, and embracing her personality in her own unique way. She was previously active in band and played the clarinet, showing her dedication and involvement in school activities. Her favorite color was teal blue, a reflection of her bright and calm personality.
She is survived by her loving parents, David and Lisa Hallauer; her sister, Chyna Leigh Hallauer; and her brother, James Drayton Smith. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents Rick and Diane Hallauer, maternal grandparents Robbie and Angelina Smith, and great-grandmothers Gloria Johnston and Marietta Smith. Other loved ones include her godmother Lakesia Glover and her husband John, her godfather Nathan Aponte and his wife Emily, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. She is also survived by her beloved pets Allie, Hazel, and her late dog Sassy.
She was preceded in death by her half-sister Angel Marie Hallauer and her boyfriend Timmy Gibson, who also passed in the same automobile accident.
Annie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She had a rare ability to bring light and joy into everyday moments, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Humane Society in her honor.
