Carolyn Albert, 79, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Carolyn Albert, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Denver community, entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Known for her gentle kindness, radiant smile, and steadfast faith, Carolyn lived a life filled with grace, compassion, and quiet strength. She touched the hearts of everyone around her with her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit.

A Life Well Lived

Carolyn Marie Albert was born on June 5, 1946, in Denver, Colorado. She grew up in a loving family in the Washington Park neighborhood, where she learned the values of faith, hard work, and caring for others. After graduating from South High School, Carolyn attended the University of Colorado, earning a degree in Nursing.

She enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a registered nurse, working for over 37 years at Rose Medical Center and later at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Carolyn specialized in pediatric care and was remembered by countless families for her compassion, calming presence, and ability to bring comfort during difficult times. She retired in 2014 but continued volunteering with local health clinics and church outreach programs.

In 1969, Carolyn married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Edward Albert. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and strong family values. She was a longtime active member of Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and participated in women’s ministry. Carolyn had a passion for gardening, reading, baking, and spending time in the mountains. Her homemade cinnamon rolls and apple pies were legendary at family gatherings and church events.

Her greatest joy was being with her family. She was the proud grandmother who never missed a school play, soccer game, or special milestone.

Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Thomas Edward Albert of Denver; her children: daughter Sarah (Michael) Thompson of Boulder, Colorado, and son David (Jennifer) Albert of Littleton, Colorado; her cherished grandchildren: Emma, Jacob, and Olivia Thompson, and Noah, Sophia, and Benjamin Albert; and many loving siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
