Winifred Boisseau Obituary | May 3, 2026

Winifred Boisseau (Winn), 65, of Enfield, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 3, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Steven Boisseau. Winn was born on April 21, 1961, in Manchester, CT. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Brooke) Gerakaris and the late Marinos Gerakaris.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Gerakaris; sister, Catherine (Cate) Hatt; daughter, Michelle Boisseau; son, Michael Boisseau and his wife, Rachel (Trant) Boisseau, as well as her adored granddaughter, Freya. Numerous extended family will also dearly miss her presence.

Winn attended the University of Connecticut for 2 years, which is where she learned bookkeeping and accounting, which she used in her career of office management at Electrical Systems, as well as in her home setting for family and friends.

Her family and friends know she was the best one to go to for an advocate, a helping hand, a listening ear and a loving hug. Her colleagues always knew she could be trusted to have their backs, work hard, and, of course, always make sure they didn’t pay for erroneous charges.

Winn loved spending time with her family and friends – many of whom are truly the family of our hearts as well. While she was an avid reader, loved the ocean, and her cat Smokey, she most loved baking chocolate chip cookies with her granddaughter, Freya, and just being with family and friends in any way possible.

Her husband Steven would like to thank the family and friends who helped Winn so much during the past year and a half. There are no words for this type of gratitude. Winn and I love you all so very much.

Her husband would also like to thank the staff at St Francis Hospital, the cancer treatment center in Enfield, Palliative care, and Hospice, who were always so caring and helpful.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15th, at the First Congregational Church, 695 Hartford Turnpike. Vernon, CT 06066. Burial will follow in their Memorial Garden.
