Jack James Mangan Obituary | April 19, 2026
Jack James Mangan, 35, of Crested Butte, CO, formerly of Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, with his family by his side.
Jack moved from Connecticut to Colorado 12 years ago. He was an Eagle Scout, a musician, a singer, and an artist, but most of all he was the best son, brother and friend.
He especially enjoyed community theatre, where he appeared in many plays and performances. Jack worked as a chef in many hotels and restaurants and enjoyed singing and playing guitar in all his favorite spots in town. Jack loved playing live music, as well as traveling to see many live shows with his family and friends. Any time Jack was in Connecticut, he never missed a chance to fill our house with many to sing and play music together.
Jack had the kindest soul, he had a way of making everyone feel loved, important, and made everyone laugh. He had the biggest smile, and he gave the best hugs. All he wanted in life was to help others and to make people happy. Though Jack’s time here ended much too soon, our greatest gift was having him in our lives for all of us to love forever.
Jack was also an organ donor, and his family hopes his donations continue to save other lives.
Jack was the son of Kelly Mangan and Jean (Sic) Mangan and brother to Mitchum Mangan and Carly Mangan, all of Manchester, CT, and Hayley Mangan and her fiancé, Isaac Evans of Crested Butte, CO. He was also loved by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank the care team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO, for all of their kindness and exceptional care.
