Gayle Marie Stinson Daniel Obituary (2026)- SIler City, NC
The community of Siler City, North Carolina is mourning the passing of Gayle Marie Stinson Daniel, 73, who died on May 2, 2026, at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Gayle was born on November 29, 1952, in Siler City to the late Benner Henry Stinson, Sr. and Evangeline Davis Stinson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Benner Henry Stinson, Jr.
A dedicated and accomplished student, Gayle graduated as valedictorian from Chatham Central High School in 1971 and was an active member of the Beta Club. She later earned an accounting certificate from Asheboro Business College and went on to build a long and respected career, working with Siler City Mills, Dossenbach Furniture Store, and later retiring from Clapp Brothers Tractor and Implement.
Gayle was deeply involved in her community throughout her life. She was a lifelong member of Business & Professional Women and served for many years as treasurer of the Republican Party of Chatham County. Her dedication to service and local involvement reflected her strong commitment to the people and place she called home.
Beyond her professional and civic life, Gayle will be remembered for her love of family and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She cherished time with her grandson, whom she lovingly raised and often described as a special blessing in her life. She also enjoyed watching her favorite television programs and spending time with her beloved cats.
Her passing leaves a deep void in the lives of her family and all who knew her. As loved ones gather to remember her life, they reflect on the many years of care, dedication, and connection she shared with others.
A funeral service is scheduled for May 6, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church, with visitation held prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
