Gini Sue Natter Obituary: Remembering the Salt Lake City, UT Native (2026)

Gini Sue Natter passed away on [date not provided], at the age of [age not provided], and is now reunited with her beloved mother, Sadie Natter. She will be remembered as a loving sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend whose life was filled with warmth, creativity, and generosity toward others.

She was born on April 21, 1968, as the 7th of 8 children in a close-knit family. From a young age, Gini was known for her gentle spirit, her joyful personality, and the way she naturally brought comfort and happiness to those around her. Her siblings remember her as someone who filled the home with dancing, hugs, and music, always expressing love in her own bright and heartfelt way.

Gini attended East High School and later pursued training to become a dental assistant. She was highly respected in her work, and her dentists valued her skill, dedication, and caring nature. She eventually worked as a surgical assistant for oral surgeon Dr. Clayton R. Walker (DDS, MD, PC), a position she truly loved. When her employer retired, Gini deeply felt the loss of the work environment and team she had grown attached to. In her earlier years, she also worked as a bartender and delivered pizza, always known for her strong work ethic and friendly personality.

Outside of work, Gini loved being outdoors. She enjoyed camping whenever she could, sometimes traveling with just her dog, and other times spending peaceful days fishing and enjoying nature with her long-time companion Bob. She found joy in simple moments—picnics in canyons, fresh air, and quiet time surrounded by nature.

Music and community were also important parts of her life. She sang in her local church choir and, even during the COVID shutdown, found ways to continue sharing music. She organized a small Christmas sing-out with friends near City Creek Canyon, where they sang carols together while staying safely apart. Her love of music reflected her deep connection to people and her ability to bring others together.

Gini was also known for her love of family and cooking. She often prepared meals for others, especially during holidays, and would invite those who had no family nearby to share Thanksgiving dinner with her. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and acceptance. Children in her family especially adored her, as she would let them play, dress up, and express themselves freely.

She is survived by her loving family, including her father Darrell Natter; sisters Ruth Anne Mallery, Debbie Cotton, Rebekah Housekeeper, and Phoebe Greene; brothers Con Natter, Heber Natter, and Beorn Natter; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss her presence.

Gini Sue Natter will be honored by her family in a private memorial service.

Her family remembers her simple message most of all: “Everyone be happy
