Life & Career
Joseph Anthony Mondry was born on January 18, 1944, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Michael and Helen Mondry. Raised in a hardworking family rooted in faith and strong community values, Joseph learned from an early age the importance of perseverance, kindness, and dedication.
As a young boy, Joseph enjoyed fishing, baseball, and helping his father with projects around the family home. Friends and relatives remember him as dependable, respectful, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Joseph graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1962 before proudly serving in the United States Army. His years of military service shaped his lifelong values of discipline, loyalty, and patriotism.
After returning home, Joseph began a successful career in manufacturing and mechanical operations, where he worked for more than four decades. Coworkers admired him for his strong work ethic, technical skill, and willingness to mentor younger employees entering the field.
Joseph approached every responsibility with professionalism and care. He believed hard work was a reflection of character, and he took pride in providing for his family while supporting those around him.
Outside of work, Joseph’s greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. He loved summer cookouts, fishing trips, attending church gatherings, and supporting his children and grandchildren at school and community events.
Joseph also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, classic country music, and restoring old tools in his garage workshop. He appreciated life’s simple moments and found happiness in quiet evenings spent with loved ones.

Joseph Mondry is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret Mondry; his loving children, Daniel Mondry and wife Rebecca Mondry, Susan Keller and husband Michael Keller, and Thomas Mondry and wife Angela Mondry.
He was also a proud grandfather to Emily, Jacob, Olivia, Ethan, Claire, and Benjamin, all of whom brought tremendous joy and meaning into his life. Joseph treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, whether teaching them practical skills, attending family gatherings, or sharing stories and life lessons from earlier years.
He is additionally survived by his sister, Patricia Novak, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, church friends, former coworkers, and lifelong companions who will forever cherish his memory.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Helen Mondry.
To his family, Joseph was the foundation of strength and love—a dependable source of wisdom, comfort, and encouragement whose influence will continue to guide future generations.
Funeral Details
A celebration of life service honoring Joseph Mondry will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Military honors will be presented following the service in recognition of Joseph’s faithful service to his country.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to veterans’ organizations or local community outreach programs in Joseph’s memory, reflecting his lifelong dedication to service and helping others.
