Edward Regis Kegg was born on January 28, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio, to Joseph and Helen Kegg. Raised in a hardworking family, Edward learned the importance of perseverance, humility, and responsibility from an early age.
As a young man, Edward developed a passion for learning and service. He graduated from Central High School in 1960 before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the early 1960s. His military service became one of the defining chapters of his life, and he carried the values of discipline, loyalty, and honor with him throughout the years.
Following his service, Edward pursued higher education and earned a degree in engineering technology. He went on to build a successful career spanning more than four decades in the manufacturing and industrial engineering field. Known for his precision, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, Edward became highly respected among coworkers and industry professionals alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Edward was admired for the kindness and mentorship he offered to younger colleagues. He believed strongly in helping others succeed and was always willing to share advice, encouragement, and support.

Edward Regis Kegg is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Anne Kegg; his loving children, David Kegg and wife Susan Kegg, Rebecca Miller and husband Jonathan Miller, and Christopher Kegg and wife Emily Kegg.
He was a proud grandfather to Nathan, Olivia, Claire, Benjamin, Sophie, and Andrew, all of whom brought tremendous joy to his life. Edward treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, whether teaching them practical skills, sharing stories from his life, or cheering them on at family events and school activities.
He is also survived by his younger sister, Patricia Dawson, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Kegg, and his brother, Richard Kegg.

Funeral Details
A celebration of life service honoring Edward Regis Kegg will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Community Church in Dayton, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Military honors will be presented following the service in recognition of Edward’s faithful service to his country.
Burial will take place at Oakwood Memorial Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to local veterans’ organizations or community outreach programs in Edward’s memory.
Loved ones are encouraged to gather in celebration of Edward’s life and share stories that honor the many ways he touched the hearts of others.
