Carla Jean Galloway was born on February 14, 1958, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to Harold and Louise Bennett. Raised in a close-knit family, Carla learned early the importance of hard work, faith, and treating others with kindness and respect.
She graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1976 and later attended Western Kentucky University, where she studied education and communication. Carla carried her passion for helping others into a successful career that spanned more than three decades.
For many years, Carla worked as an elementary school administrative coordinator within the Fayette County School District. Students, teachers, and parents alike appreciated her calm demeanor, welcoming smile, and tireless dedication to creating a supportive environment for children. She believed every child deserved encouragement and compassion, and she worked each day to make schools feel like a second home.
Beyond her professional life, Carla was deeply devoted to her family and community. She volunteered regularly through local church ministries, charity food drives, and senior outreach programs. Funeral Details
A celebration of life service for Carla Jean Galloway will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
