Trevor Major Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and endless love that we announce the passing of Trevor William Major from Wyckoff, NJ. On May 10, 2026, the Lord called him home. He was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother, and a cherished friend to many. He passed away suddenly surrounded by the people who meant the most to him, leaving behind memories filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable stories.

Trevor was a man who truly lived life in full color. He had a passion for muscle cars — the louder the engine, the bigger his smile. Whether he was under the hood, out for a drive, or talking shop with friends, cars were more than a hobby; they were part of who he was. Trevor also had a profound love and appreciation for music—from jazz and classical to heavy metal. It was a constant presence in his life, speaking to his soul and shaping his spirit. He found joy in collecting and playing guitars, where his passion came to life through every riff and melody.

Known for his humor and easygoing personality, Trevor could make anyone smile. He loved talking with people—not just because he enjoyed conversation, but because he genuinely cared about others. He had a way of making people feel heard and valued. Beneath that warmth was a deeply philosophical mind, with a profound thirst for knowledge and understanding. Trevor was incredibly driven and approached his work with a strong sense of purpose and commitment, always striving to grow and make a meaningful impact.

Above all else, he loved his family with his whole heart. His wife and children were truly his entire world, and nothing brought him more joy than simply being with them. Whether it was family outings, quiet evenings at home, or just sitting together talking and laughing, Trevor treasured every single moment spent with the people he loved most.

He was a dedicated and loving husband who showed his love daily in both big and small ways. One of his favorite parts of every day was sitting with his wife over a cup of coffee, talking about life, laughing together, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He loved deeply, faithfully, and wholeheartedly, and that love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.

Trevor was an incredible father whose children adored him. He was present for every moment he could be, always wanting to spend time with them, guide them, make them laugh, and create memories they would carry forever. His pride in his children was unmistakable, and the love he poured into them will remain a lasting gift throughout their lives.

Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the love Trevor gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the laughter he brought into every room, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and devotion. We find peace in knowing that God has welcomed him home as one of His angels. He will be missed beyond words and loved forever.

Trevor is survived by his wife Melissa, daughter Aileena, sons Grayson & Jacob, parents William & Dale Major, brother Jeff Major & his wife Michelle, in-laws Allan & Cheryl Meytrott, brother-in-law Taylor Meytrott & his wife Christina, sister-in-law Amanda Filipe & her husband Danny, brother-in-law Hunter Meytrott & his husband Tim, brother-in-law Parker Meytrott & his wife Whitney, sister-in-law Sara Benitez & her husband Diego, brother-in-law Connor Meytrott, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, & uncles.
