Mary Lou (Bradley) Davis Obituary May 6, 2026
God saw her getting tired and a cure was not to be. So, He put His arms around her and whispered, “Come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched her and saw her pass away.
Mary Lou Davis was born September 29, 1936 to the union of William and Kathryn Bradley in the City of Keokuk, Iowa. While growing up in Keokuk she attended elementary school and graduated high school. She attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri where she met and married her husband, Curtis Davis. They then moved to the St. Louis area where one son, Anthony Davis, was born.
Mary confessed in Jesus Christ at an early age while attending Bethel AME Church-Keokuk, Iowa.
At the time of her death, she was a long-time member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. She faithfully served on the Usher and Trustee Boards.
She was active in the community, and was a dedicated member of the NAACP St Charles, Lions Club and the Senior Club within Wentzville Recreation.
Those left to cherish memories are her brothers, Bennie (Mary) and James (Sudine) Bradley; niece, Kathryn Bradley; nephews, Christopher Bradley and Brian Brown – whom she helped raise; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Curtis Davis, and her son, Anthony Davis.
The family is being served by Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville.
