Clarence R. Robinson of Belpre, OH passed peacefully from this earth in the morning Wednesday May 6th, 2026, at his home. He was 87 years of age.
He was born August 11th, 1938, in Marion OH. He served his country for 4 years in US Airforce, where he was an air traffic controller and in meteorology. After enlistment he caught a bus out of Marion OH and when discharged, hitchhiked home (back when you could do that), almost ending up in Marion INDIANA! He finally returned to the area, built a life and worked for over 30 years at GE Plastics (Borg Warner) from where he retired.
He lived a full and active life. He had many hobbies that included; golfing, camping, gardening, carpentry (he built two beautiful homes as well as remodeled several others), spending time at the beach, and BOWLING!! He was an excellent bowler; he spent many a weeknight with his bowling family and placed on the “High Game and Perfect Score” board repeatedly… Remember, “do it like you’re combing your hair!” and “thumb up!”
He is survived by; his wife of 20 years, R. Carol Robinson, son Travis E. (America) Robinson, daughter Mechelle Wilson, stepsons, Brandon (Megan) Smith, Travis M. (Karen) Caplinger, Cody A. Caplinger and Nicholas Caplinger.
He had eight grandchildren; Jack (Angie) Alvarez, Travis K. (Jessa) Robinson, Peyton Smith, Shyanne Fury, Desirae Caplinger, Shannah Caplinger, Travis Jr. Caplinger, Monica Caplinger. He also had three great grandchildren and one on the way!… Joseph Everson, Destiny Everson, Leia Alvarez and Baby Girl Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dock & Viola Robinson, his brothers, Carl (Betty) Robinson, George (Glendora) Robinson, Dock Jr. & (Garnet) Robinson, Bob (Shirley) Robinson, Paul Robinson, Larry & (Patty) Robinson, Kenneth & (Ruby) Thomas and his sisters, Geneva (Ed) McGraw, Cybella (Jim) Baer, Carol Hartley, Doris (Bruce) Elliot, Ann (Herb) Hunt, Betty (John) Jordan, Sylvia Robinson.
