A graveside service for Francis William Erschabek, 84, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Prairie Rest Cemetery near Guernsey, Wyoming with a gathering to follow at the Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Francis Erschabek passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 near his cabin at the place he loved the most his ranch.

Francis was born on Monday, November 17, 1941, in Hartville, Wyoming the son of Francis R. and Edith M. (Walsh) Erschabek. He married the love of his life, Jean Fry Garrison, in Dallas, Texas on November 4, 1971. Together they were blessed with five children: John, Connie, Allen, Erin, and Wade.

Francis proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on March 31, 1967, he also served multiple years in the Army National Guard while working for Burlington Northern Railroad and retired in 2007.  He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time on his ranch, where he found peace and happiness. Above all, he loved his family and treasured the time spent with them.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (Richard) Riddell;  children, John, Connie (Myron) Dye; Everette (Cheryl) Main, Allen (fiancée, Ashly), Erin (Chris) Rogers, and Julina Nyquist; his beloved grandchildren, Adraya, Keilidh, Alex, Alyssa, William, Sarah, Taylor, Anthony, Laecie, and Elivia; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Francis R. Erschabek and Edith M. Walsh; wife, Jean; son, Wade; nephew, Jacob; and sister, Alice Main; and brother-in-law, Marvin Main.

His memory will live on in every sunrise over the ranch and every story shared around the table. May he rest peacefully beneath the wide Wyoming skies he loved so dearly, reunited once again with those who went before him. He will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
