Elvira (DiCicco) Curti Obituary | May 1, 2026

Elvira (DiCicco) Curti, 97, of West Hartford, CT, wife of the late Giuseppe Curti whom she married on October 27, 1963, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, in Huntington Beach, CA.

Elvira was born in Pacentro, Province of L’Aquila, Italy. One of seven children to the late Teresa and Giovanni DiCicco, Elvira came to this country with her family in December 1969. She held many job titles, including seamstress, janitor, and housekeeper. Working tirelessly with her husband, Giuseppe, they bought a home and brought up their son in the Elmwood section of West Hartford. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning, as well as keeping up Giuseppe’s vegetable and flower gardens after he passed. Elvira was deeply religious, carrying a rosary, praying, and attending mass daily. She met many of her lifelong friends as a member of St. Brigid Church in West Hartford. She also kept in contact with her siblings as well as nieces and nephews over the years, and enjoyed long discussions and reminiscing with them about bygone days. Above all, she loved taking care of and being with her grandchildren, whom she was most proud of.

Elvira was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe Curti. She is survived by her son, Mario Curti and his wife Laura (Puskas) Curti; her grandchildren: Giuseppe, Justin, Jason, and Jonathan; her brother, Raffaele DiCicco, who lives in Genova, Italy; her sister-in-law, Lina Arconi, who lives in Grotte Santo Stefano, Italy; as well as countless loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews all over the world. She loved and was loved by many, and will be forever missed.
