McMULLEN, ROBERT E., SR. “Bob,” 96, Carrolltown, passed away on May 7, 2026, at Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Hastings. Born on December 17, 1929, in Spangler, son of the late William C. and Agnes (McTigue) McMullen. Preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Lantzy; Paul J. McMullen; William McMullen; and Ronald McMullen. Survived by son, Robert E. McMullen Jr.; daughters, Rosemary C. McMullen and Marilyn Sears; grandson, Robert C. (Jackie) McMullen and great granddaughter, Kayleigh McMullen. Brother of, Mary Ellen (Thomas) Lowe, Texas; James (Patricia) McMullen, Westfield, Ohio; Charles (Janet) McMullen, Mentor, Ohio; Shirl Ann (Paul) Lefko, Indiana, PA; and Patrick (Diane) McMullen, Northern Cambria. Also survived by sister-in-law, Beatrice McMullen; numerous nieces and nephews and close family friend, Rose Bassaro. Retired from GMAC after 35 years of service. Proud U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War having served in Korea in 1953. Member of Saint Benedict Church in Carrolltown, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Also, a member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, Secretary-Treasurer Saint Benedict Cemetery Association, American Legion Post 506 and 50 year member of the Cambria County Saddle Club. Bob was known throughout his life as a devoted and extremely hardworking man whose strong work ethic guided everything he did. He took great pride in providing for his family and approached every task with determination and integrity. In his free time, Bob enjoyed woodworking and found great satisfaction in working with his hands, creating projects that reflected his craftsmanship. He will be remembered for his dedication, dependability, and the example he set for those who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received Monday, May 11, 2026, in the St. Boniface Wimmer room of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, Carrolltown, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Father Michael Gabler, O.S.B., celebrant. Interment, St. Benedict Cemetery. Military Honors by local organizations. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., handling all arrangements.
