Marilyn Marie Leatherman Obituary May 7, 2026
Marlyn was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on May 23, 1936 to Nellie and Earl Walkerow. She passed away peacefully at home May 7, 2026.
A graduate of Wadsworth High School in 1954, she dated and later married the love of her life, Darwin Leatherman, on May 12, 1956.
This union was blessed with four, wonderful children. Marilyn enjoyed extensive travel throughout the world due to Darwin’s Naval career with stops in Japan, Spain, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. She was a member of Crestview Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Tim Leatherman (Darlene) and daughter, Dawn Weaver; grandchildren, Amanda Leatherman, Sean Strolle, Stacy Strolle, Zachary Weaver, Kimberly Leatherman, and Ethan Nelson; and sister, Wilma Bux. She was preceded in death by her sons, Tom Leatherman (Darleen) and Todd Leatherman (Tressie); sister, Earline House; and brother, Arthur Walkerow.
An hour of visitation will be held Monday, May 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 5:00 p.m. at Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 East Pine Avenue, Crestview, Florida.
