Leslie Paul Ingalls, 51 of Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Les was born in Boston, MA, grew up in Foxborough, and lived most of his adult life in Warwick.

He worked for Howard Johnson’s and Bickford’s restaurants for many years. More recently he was a pipefitter at Electric Boat in Quonset.

Les was the epitome of a “gentle giant”, loved by friends and coworkers for his easygoing nature. He was an avid Boston sports fan and was known to get very emotional when cheering on his teams. He enjoyed Star Wars and Star Trek, and had an immense knowledge of military history. At an airshow, he could name and describe every plane that passed overhead. He loved music and pop culture, and could not be beat in Trivial Pursuit. Les was also an animal lover, known to feed and rescue squirrels. He was loved by the family dogs, particularly Belle, and his rescue cat, Azrael.

Les leaves his mother, Colleen LaBelle of Spring Hill, Florida and his father, Leslie H. Ingalls and stepmother Jackie, of Warwick. He was predeceased by his loving stepfather, Larry LaBelle. He also leaves his sisters, Kelly (Joe) Trenn, of Warwick, Leanne (Doug) Jimolka of Spring Hill, Florida, and Erin (Brendan) Perry, of Northborough MA. He was beloved Uncle Les to his nieces and nephews Shawn (Kasie) and Katelynn Dugdale, Court and Joseph Trenn Jr, Isabelle Jimolka and Eleanor and Theodore Perry. He also leaves grandnephews Spencer and Sebastian Dugdale. A

Mass Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive Cranston.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 11, 2026, from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave. Warwick.
